Every inch of every building project has significant meaning. At least that's what we believe at The Building Group.
A few years ago we found this rusty old nail during a church renovation. Anyone else may have tossed it (if they cared enough to pick it up), but my team was intrigued by the hidden treasure. I thought of the carpenter. Was he around to watch us dismantle the structure he built with his bare hands? I thought of the hardware store. Was it still in business? These things matter to us.
Throughout the years I have collected many gems, like the aged window weight from another renovation, the crystallized stone from an excavation project and the spindle from a small communion rail. Each reminds me of another quality craftsman who placed his signature there. I hope mine will be cherished in many years to come.
Gratefully,

J. Rodney George
